77-year-old Japanese porn actor reveals silver sex

We just spotted this interview with Shigeo Tokuda in the Guardian. Tokuda-san is 77 and has starred in over 350 JAV flicks, making even veterans like Maria Ozawa seem like newbies.

The market for “silver porn” has doubled in ten years and is now about 20% of Japan’s 3,000 porn films made per year, worth 100 billion yen ($1.3 billion). Makes sense when you learn that 20% of the population is over 65.

We’ve also read of love dolls being available to “rent” in empty apartments and that customers are often older men, looking to satisfy needs in a way that is more barrier-free and private!

North Korean university students sell bodies for phones

Across the water in the Korean peninsular, it seems that even in the world’s most secretive state eros is playing her part in the revolution.

In some North Korean cities there are bars for leading labor and public safety body officials. However, these aren’t just any boring drinkery. The porn apparently sells for ten times the monthly salary of an average worker. To combat the rise of pornography the government reformed the laws in 20009 so that importing, holding or distributing it can be punishable by between five and ten years’ forced labor. But the penalties are not having much effect.

A new survey by the folks over at Time Out Tokyo has provided us an interesting snapshot of sexual habits in the nation’s capital in 2011. Responding to a request from May 23rd, over 800 people eventually completed the survey, painting an illuminating picture of the sex lives of present-day Tokyoites.

With male respondents accounting for 61% of the total, females taking 39%, the survey delved into such issues as how long you would need to know somebody before having sex (answers running from mere hours to several years), who should initiate a pickup (seems the ball is in your court, gentlemen) and which day of the week is best for picking someone up on (somewhat unsurprisingly, Friday took this accolade). Other interesting tidbits include a rather frosty reception for Japanese porn, with only 27% of respondants rating the average AV as particularly exciting, revelations regarding public indecency (28% claimed to have ‘publicly penetrated’) and a variety of highly entertaining responses to the statement ‘I’m looking for somebody in Tokyo who will ________ in bed’ (This writer’s favourites including: “Behave like a cat!”, “Share the loneliness…”, “At least do some of the work!” and “Play Nintendo 3DS.”).

Last but certainly not least of all, the article sets you up with some of Tokyo’s favourite pick-up lines, lest you find yourself in the great city and in need of some sexual healing.
