SOD opens new shop in Shibuya… for girls (and guys)!

Miss Universe Japan model admits plastic surgery

We found this amusing because many Japanese girls like to disgard the amazing “bijin” quality in Korean women with the excuse that it’s all just due to plastic surgery.
Certainly it is more common and latent on the peninsular. However, it’s a dirty secret in Japan (along with how idols essentially have to sleep with their management at the start of their careers) that many idols and singers have used plastic surgery to enhance their “perfect” look. Unlike Korea, though, few will admit it, which is what makes Biwon unusual. Perhaps that’s her half-Korean side coming out! (Her mother is Korean-born.)
Celebrities rumored online to have had surgery include actress Misaki Ito, singer Ayumi Hamasaki, model/singer ICONIQ (of Korean extraction), actress Keiko Kitagawa, idol Yuko Oguro, Ryoko Yonekura, and singer Ai Otsuka.
In Japan a few years ago it became extremely popular with certain class of girls (often gyaru) to have double eyelid surgery to give the impression of a bigger, more western eye. You could identify the culprits not so much from the results but from the gauze eyepatch they wore over one eye while it is was healing (obviously they only did one eye at a time!). In the mid-2000s, a walk around central Osaka would reveal dozens of these girls, and sometimes even guys.
The most famous Japanese proponents of plastic surgery are the incredible Kano Sisters, who have had so much work done to them that they know resemble a pair of plastic toys.

Roman Porno Softcore Porn Movies Get New Life!

Often not “hard core” in the true sense of the word and watched in special movie theaters, “pink” cinema was led by Nikkatsu and their “Roman Porno” genre during the Seventies.
Though watching them now they seem rather tame compared to the extreme antics of Japanese pornography today, they still merit value as nostalgia, genuine art and also a unique brand of retro kinkiness in their own right. They also launched the career of many now respected art house directors, such as Koji Wakamatsu.
The theaters where you could watch them are almost all gone — there is at least one still in central Shinjuku, though — in May they will get a renewed lease of life. 32 titles will be shown as part of the Evergreen Roman Porno film festival at Shibuya’s Euro Space art house cinema.
This year marks Nikkatsu’s centenary and the company eventually made more than 1,000 pink eiga over 17 years, until 1988. Arguably the most famous title is the first Roman Porno ever, Apartment Wife (団地妻) (1971) and its many, many sequels.

Stormy weather brings stormy passion

One unlikely side effect of the weekday storm is that there were more guests than usual at Tokyo’s love hotels. Yes, this kind of unusual weather is the perfect excuse for some hanky panky.
