Ex-AKB48 idol Satomi Kaneko to make porn debut as Kiho Kanematsu
The former AKB48 idol Satomi Kaneko officially retired last year and we thought it was the last we would see of her.
How wrong we are. Today comes the happy news that Satomi Kaneko is to make her porn debut with the Muteki label — which specializes in such industry crossover debuts — and under the name Kiho Kanematsu (金松季歩).
It is common, often for contractual reasons, for idols to change their professional name when transition into porn, or even just when switching management agencies. Kaneko/Kanematsu announced her new professional name about a week ago, along with a new shoot for the February 27 issue of Weekly Flash. This either meant she was relaunching her gravure career or doing something even bolder.
It seems the 34-year-old was actually preparing to announce her first JAV release, which the Flash shoot is promoting.
Her first porn release (TEK00099), curiously called 18Gold, will come out on various digital formats on April 2 (with physical formats presumably to follow). It is 176 minutes long, which is quite an epic amount of banging.
We don’t have any decent preview images yet, mostly just the cover and the recent Weekly Flash shoot, though we expect more to become available as we get closer to the release date.
After she left AKB48 in 2007, Kaneko pursued quite a successful career as a gravure model, releasing various DVDs.
In her early thirties, she stripped for a full-frontal nude shoot that showed off her paipan shaved pussy (thus making it, technically, not a “hair nude” full-frontal with a bush, as is traditional in Japanese nude photography).
This wasn’t such a major step for her, since she had already done semi-nude shoots that showed off most of her body without revealing actual nipples or bush, and had apparently done a nude scene in a low-budget sexploitation film way back in 2010 called Man Hunting (we haven’t seen it, please let us know in the comments if you have).
But stepping into adult video is definitely a whole other level of commitment.
She now joins a long and growing list of alumni from AKB48 and sister groups who graduated and went on to pursue porn careers, many initially for Muteki. The most successful by far is the recently retired Yua Mikami.
