The trials and tribulations of Chinese-Japanese YouTuber, gravure model, and hostess Tenchim have reached a happier end, it seems.
The lawsuit goes back to 2020, when she promoted a bust-boosting bra on her YouTube channel. She had produced the Mote Fit bra with YUIKU, only for the brand to sue after her boob job came to light. The brand claimed that this discredited the product and caused it to fail. Tenchim had to apologize and refunds were offered.
The scandal, along with a second drug scandal, meant she had to turn to working at a hostess club in Roppongi to make ends meet.

Known for having spent ¥27.5 million on plastic surgery, the model Airi Hirase has revealed what she used to look like.
She shared a series of photos on X of her previous facial appearance, including as recently as two years ago.
One of the images shows her as a child wearing glasses, contrasted with a current image of her in a dress, highlighting her dramatic transformation. The images also included pictures of Hirase (aka Nyairin) as a high schooler, when she was a gyaru.
Hirase also used the opportunity to promoted her appearance in the Netflix series Plastic Beauty, in ...
Retired porn stars tend to disappear into the oblivion of regular employment after retirement, with only a few seeking out the limelight by launching other public-facing careers. But this is the first time that we have heard of a porn star switching gears into charity work.
Eimi Fukada was one of the biggest names in the Japanese adult video industry but she seemed to quietly retire last year. As far as we know, she didn't realize any new productions and, while we didn't seem a formal announcement, she is now described in the media as a "former" porn star (or, as the Japanese media always ...
A college student. A pachinko parlor worker. A hostess. An influencer. What do all these young Japanese women have in common?
While not as famous (or perhaps infamous) as a place like South Korea, plastic surgery is not uncommon in Japan among models, idols, and porn stars, and also sex workers and social media influencers.
Some female celebrities spend millions of yen on multiple surgeries, though few admit it.
Which is why it tends to make the news when someone does break the taboo and talk about this industry secret.
On a recent edition of the Abema TV show Hyena of Love Season 5, ...
In Japanese idol world (gravure, AV, and music), plastic surgery is something of an open secret. The occasional models and idols who admit to it -- Haruka Kodama being a recent one, as is porn star Ichika Mogami -- are exceptions that prove the rule, so to speak.
Formerly known as Tenka Hashimoto, Tenchim (てんちむ) is a 31-year-old Chinese-Japanese tarento and model, and a rare example of a celebrity who openly admits to having had surgery on her breasts.
In 2021, she made a comeback after a double scandal that saw her career as a model and tarento derailed, so much so that she took to ...
She's back.
We're delighted to welcome the return of Haruka Kodama, who has done her first gravure photo shoot in two years.
She appears on the cover of the October 15 issue of weekly magazine Flash. The swimwear-themed shoot features the model and actress lounging around a sunny pool and making us whistful about the hot summer that has just finished (though it's still T-shirt weather here in Tokyo).
Alongside her debut cover for the magazine, Flash has also released two digital photo books. Do you want Haruka Kodama in bed or by the pool?
Haruppi will apparently appear in ...
Eimi Fukada is one of the most successful performers in JAV, well known not just for her adult video output but also her social media prominence and huge following among fans.
She cultivates this by making regular video clips and posting them for her fans. But a couple of recent videos have got a lot of people talking -- and not in a good way.
In the short videos, Eimi Fukada dances around in skimpy swimwear, possibly imitating slinky DJ Soda's social media videos.

As we've written before, plastic surgery is an open secret in Japanese entertainment. Almost no one talks about it but everyone knows that some celebrities get it done. Only a small minority come forward and admit to having submitted to the surgeon's knife, and sometimes face mockery for it.
One such is Minami Fukuoka, the 28-year-old Tokyo University of Science graduate and former gravure model who now seems to make a living from media appearances and endorsing products on her social media channels.
Having apparently made a small fortune from live streaming -- to such an extent that she ...
People in Japan sometimes look over the water at South Korea, where plastic surgery among women is relatively common, and tut in disapproval. But the truth is, plastic surgery also happens in Japan -- and is something of an open secret in the entertainment world, where models and actors have work done early in the career but keep it under wraps.
Only a few go public about it, though internet rumors persist over several other celebrities.
Former AKB48 idol Kana Kobayashi has admitted to having had plastic surgery.
The model Tenchim (Tenka Hashimoto) has confessed to a boob job (the results ...
Hot on the heels of the revelations over Mariko Shinoda's marital problems, allegedly caused by her infidelity, comes news of the nuptial dilemmas of another former AKB48 idol.
Kana Kobayashi is now aged 31 and seemed to have it all. Last March, she announced that she had married a famous investor and given birth to a child.
But then on January 16, she announced on social media that she was already divorced.
In fact, her husband had "another wife." If that wasn't bad enough, he was arrested in October on charges of investment fraud, sparking an online backlash against her.
Her husband ...
