Porn star Minamo to retire in December
The Japanese porn star Minamo has announced her retirement.
The wildly popular adult video performer put out a statement on June 14 on her social media channels announcing her forthcoming retirement in December, while Soft on Demand released a special page on its website. It brings to an end a five-year career that has seen the 26-year-old mononymous star rise to the top of the industry.
In that time, Minamo (usually written in uppercase roman letters in Japanese) has achieved significant mainstream recognition alongside her dozens of adult video releases, photo books, and calendars.
The Tokyo-born Minamo started off as a gravure idol under the name Shizuku Taiyo in 2019, but whose foray into gravure seemed to end almost as soon as it began. Thankfully, Shizuku Taiyo was soon reborn as Minamo when she debuted for Soft on Demand in 2021, and the rest is history.
Minamo is beloved by fans for her ravishing body, pale skin, and lush beauty, which has drawn comparisons with the actress Mitsuki Takahata.
In addition to her work in JAV, Minamo has done modeling, including for the major lingerie brand Ravijour. She has also done acting, such as in the sexploitation film A Spoiling Rain, though like most acting roles given to active porn stars, she was essentially cast to take her clothes off and do nude sex scenes.
Despite all the releases, Minamo has never collaborated on a porn star onahole (pocket pussy) toy, which feels like a missed opportunity for her army of fans.
Minamo will hold events every month until her retirement. Her release slate is also expected to remain busy. She just released a 170-minute AV marking her five-year anniversary with the longest title ever given to a porn production in Japan.
The full title translates as follows: “Full Title: 5th Anniversary Project: The World’s Longest Titled AV It’s been 5 years since her AV debut, and everyone’s favorite, the beautiful celebrity Minamo, can’t go home until she comes up with the longest AV title in Japan. Starting as a female teacher at the title meeting, she suddenly becomes horny after transforming into a cosplayer, showing off her big breasts, big butt and panties to seduce, serving a masochistic man with premature ejaculation in a romantic comedy, footjob, and devilish fellatio! Deep throat explosion, whispered dirty talk and handjob with masturbation support from behind, and the ultimate loving cum shot from cowgirl to missionary position! (Contains BSS and NTR elements) A current AV actress’s amazing technique and hospitality paradise sex! Don’t you want to see Minamo as a kendo club manager, maid, school swimsuit (sports), full course of uniforms, and nurse? A highly educated, sexually insatiable, tanned, muscular, big-dick, cheating, hardcore piston actor suddenly appears and uses toys like bullet vibes, dildos, and other vibrators to torture a bound cervix and finger-fuck her until she squirts. Minamo, with her cute face but extreme masochistic tendencies, has her libido ignited and, with no panties or bra and her nipples erect, begs for deep kissing and erotic cunnilingus. She experiences a super-fast, muscle-bound, instant fuck that leaves her hips weak and drenched in sweat during a powerful orgasm, but then the macho actor suddenly reveals he loves anal licking and being licked! He’s reincarnated into another world as a perverted sugar daddy and asks a yoga-savvy petite girl for lotion oil, face-riding 69 play, and finally cums all over her face. The title is ‘Ass fetishes really do save the world.’ A documentary with masturbation and laughter from morning till night. Then, unexpectedly, it was all a dream. (Contains elements of voyeurism and close-up sex scenes. Vertical video recommended for smartphones.) We’ll lend you a sex monster that everyone will want to have sex with. Minamo”
Does this mean we won’t see Minamo any more? Perhaps not.
“I’m retiring from adult video, but I’m planning to continue other activities,” she confirmed in her announcement, suggesting she will still work as a model, actor, and celebrity.
