Japanese porn star Sumire Mizukawa announces marriage
The Japanese porn star Sumire Mizukawa has announced her marriage.
The internationally active adult video performer, who is known professionally overseas as Emiri Momota, shared the big news via her Instagram account on July 9 with a series of photos of her and her husband, and the ironic caption: “Sorry . . . officially sold out.”
The photos show Mizukawa in a series of wedding dresses and were presumably taken at a hotel or wedding party venue. They also feature the couple’s rings and Mizukawa posing with a “just married” cake.
She hasn’t released any details about her new husband, though the photos show his face clearly and he is a young, attractive Asian man. He is apparently a regular company employee and not involved in the industry.
The 32-year-old Osaka native has worked under several names over the course of her decade-long career, including Miri Mizuki and Rei Mizuki. Emiri Momota is the performer name she uses for her work outside Japan, especially for English-speaking audiences.
Earlier this year, she announced her retired from mainstream porn, though she was seemingly still appearing in independent or self-produced work, such as OnlyFans, where she has been active creating content, and a recent video with wildly popular and prolific porn star Gattouz. Her fandom was growing outside Japan and she was increasingly catering more for foreign audiences than domestic fans.
Whether her marriage means the complete end of career in the adult industry is unclear at this stage.
This is actually Mizukawa’s second marriage. In 2021, she married an American man and relocated to the United States, but the marriage soon broke down, and she returned to Japan.
In addition to a large number of adult videos produced since 2016, Mizukawa has released calendars, softcore image videos, and a print photo book in 2020. Like many JAV stars, she has collaborated with toy makers to release her own onaholes/masturbators. She has also recently promoted CBD sex lubricant.
