Nanoka makes “miracle” gravure comeback after marriage and parenthood

Nanoka is back.

After a two-year break, the gorgeous gravure idol has returned with a photo shoot for Weekly Playboy, published in the July 13 issue. The magazine is calling it a “miracle comeback.”

The busty model is now 37 years old — she debuted way back in 2011 — and very much in the sexy jukujo, hot mom years, but indeed she did announce her marriage and first child in December 2024. That seemed like a de facto retirement announcement, since she had already released what was promoted as her final photo book in June that year.

Nonetheless, some of us held out hope and it seems she was listening.

As you might expect, edging closer to 40 and having a child has changed her a bit, but she still looks as gorgeous as she did in the nude photo book she in her early thirties with that killer bust and those come-hither eyes.

The shoot is accompanied by a 61-page digital photo book. Born in Hiroshima, Nanoka went independent in 2020, and this post-childbirth, comeback shoot is also attempts a different look.

“For this shoot, I approached the camera lens as if it were my lover. It had been a while, so I think I let my guard down a bit too much, which might be why I ended up with such a tender, affectionate expression.”

Has she been following gravure during her hiatus.

“Yes, in the sense of browsing magazines at convenience stores or seeing who’s popular on photographers’ social media,” she tells Weekly Playboy. “It feels like the world of gravure has shifted. It’s no longer a stage reserved for a select few, but rather a place for whoever is currently trending and can generate numbers. I really sense how times have changed.”
