Japan’s top male porn star Shimiken announces divorce from common-law wife
A few weeks ago, we reported on the engagement and pregnancy of ex-porn star Nanami Kawakami.
Being an adult video star is hard enough with the long shoots, physical pressures, and social stigma, but the job also really affects your ability to lead a regular life outside of work. This includes, of course, settling down with a special someone — if that’s your choice — and perhaps even having kids.
Anri Sakaguchi, whose colorful life has encompassed a stint in AV, has recently announced her divorce after just two months of marriage.
News reports last year said that former JAV star Nao Oikawa had also divorced her husband after several years of marriage.
Of course, these are just the cases that we have heard about. Many other AV performers disappear into obscurity and their post-porn travails remain unknown. Nonetheless, we presume the situation is tough for female performers.
What about the men?
Shimiken is one of the busiest and successful male performers in adult video — an industry that actually has only a small number of male professionals.
He gets to have sex with literally hundreds, if not thousands, of women, including some of the most beautiful ladies working in the industry. (He even finds time to promote special underwear products too.)
In 2018, then aged 38, Shimiken (whose real name is Ken Shimizu) announced that he had entered into a common-law marriage with Haruka Ito, a writer, after four years of dating.
The couple later had a son and frequently posted pictures of their family life on social media, though Ito has talked publicly about the mental strain of being married to a prolific porn star.
Perhaps that was one of the contributing factors to what we now learn has happened: the couple has ended its union. Though it was a common-law marriage, so no formal divorce proceedings are needed, the pair announced their breakup earlier this week on their respective blogs. Though concrete reasons for the separation were given, it is seemingly amiable since they both posted the news with images of happy domestic scenes involving their child.

actually heard that news probably a day ago that they got divorce it so sad to hear about that being married to a man who is an AV actor and still doing those videos to be honest I think one of the reason of their divorce probably a woman she’s been dating or something to do on his work or no time for the family..🤔🙄

Rocco Siffredi (Italian porn Star) still appears in AV while still married. His kids are adults now.
Granted it’s a different culture.

If one doesn’t like he or she is a porn star, than don’t marry, period and don’t nagging about it!
