Female athletes will receive better protection against voyeuristic photography while competing, the Japanese Olympic Committee has said. Working in partnership with the Japan Sport Association and All Japan High School Athletic Federation, the JOC is preparing concrete steps to prevent exploitative photos being taken and shared of athletes.
Dressed in clothing designed to help them do their best in their competition, female sports athletes are easy prey for snappers, who can use a lens to zoom in on breasts and buttocks. Such images may then be shared online with offensive captions.

Rainy season has officially begun in Tokyo. Last year's season was protracted and desultory, stretching on until July. We hope that won't be the case this year, though the measures against the coronavirus will mean that many places are anyway closed and typical summer events won't happen.
When the rains started last week, they brought with them winds.
All this spelled trouble for commuters, struggling to get to work against the elements. And for schoolgirls, it was especially difficult conditions to walk around in.
Even more so in if you have a voyeur on your trail. Schoolgirls must deal ...
If you've got it, flaunt it. The adage really is true when it comes to women who know they are hot and aren't shy to show us. And we thank the Shinto gods that there are plenty of such women in Asia.
This particular sexy lady was snapped out and about shopping in the city. She's every inch the metropolitan-chic woman: Starbucks drink in one hand as she makes a phone call with the other while walking through a store. And to top it off, she's wearing skintight leggings-style pants. And no panties.
Her camel toe is very, very visible, so much so that her admirer (well, voyeur) could get ...
We spotted someone share some tosatsu shots with interesting visual results. Apparently this is what happens when you use an infrared camera to take photos secretly of a Japanese girl in a bikini.
The image is, of course, black and white but with her blood vessels "exposed" by the photography. We're not exactly sure about the science behind this, though the visual effect is arresting and, arguably, alluring.
We also don't know who the girl in the bikini is -- if this is a genuine tosatsu, though, she is probably an "amateur" -- but we like what we see.
What do you ...
Halloween in Japan means many things. It means crazy costumes and street parties. It means cars being overturned. It mean girls in bodystockings. It means a porn shoot truck. It means a top porn star in a cute costume. And it also means old men upskirting young girls.
Yes, this is one of the less than savory elements of the Halloween street parties in Tokyo and other cities around Japan.
One incredulous person caught an elderly photography patently getting panchira shots of girls in Center Gai last weekend during the height of the Halloween revelry. He seems barely aware that others ...
Tosasatu "secret filming" is a constant threat for women in Japan (and in South Korea, especially toilets). Every practitioner wants that holy panchira up-skirt shot! Escalators and stairs are popular places to try this, presuming you have prepared your equipment right (cameras hidden in bags are a typical example of the more elaborate set-up). This is why you may see some young women holding bags against the backs of their legs as they ascend floors in order to flatten their skirts and hide their underwear from voyeurs.
Inevitably, schoolgirls are a target for upskirting. After all, not ...
Former office48 (part of the AKS group) executive Takashi Nodera has been arrested and imprisoned for filming illicit naked videos of the young idols under his charge.
There has been total silence on this so far in the mainstream media, as well as, needless to say, from the powers that be at AKS, the company that runs the juggernaut that is AKB48.
But the tabloids have fortunately broken the story.
Takashi Nodera hid secret cameras in bathrooms, dressing rooms and hotel rooms between 2009 and 2010 to film the girls, possibly under age, while they relaxed without clothes ...
Parks are not just for strolling around in.
Unlike other cities, Tokyo's parks are open all night. Photographer Kohei Yoshiyuki used to visit Chuo Park in the early Seventies and search for goings-on in the dark.
At the time, it was common for couples to go the park to have sex. But that alone wasn't what was interesting.
The couples weren't alone. People were watching.
In effect, the park was an open-air public happening bar.
After spending months entrenches with the voyeurs so that they would trust him as a "regular" in Chuo, Yoyogi, and Aoyama parks, Yoshiyuki then began to ...
