What kind of female bust do you like? It's a question we often ponder in various ways for far too long each day. Apparently, we're not alone and a lingerie company in Osaka even went so far as to do an online survey to find out the answer. In mid-September, Maruko asked 800 people, even spread across their twenties, thirties, forties, and fifties, and half men and half women. Despite what gravure idols and adult video might have you believe, it's not as simple as guys always want huge breasts (in fact, we're written before about how trends show that Japanese men like smaller breasts, ...

A recent survey of 1,000 boys and girls in Japan aged between 17 and 19 revealed that only about a quarter had sexual experience, though more girls did than boys, but girls had more negative impressions of sex than their male counterparts. The survey was conducted by the Nippon Foundation, which put up a detailed write-up with graphs on its multilingual online journal, nippon.com. Overall, 23.6% of the respondents had sexual experience. A breakdown by gender found a 5% gap with 26.2% of girls and 21.2% of boys. When asked about what age they had their first sexual experience, the most ...

As spotted on Twitter by Unseen Japan, a recently announced survey about sex had some troubling results for people in Japan. The survey asked "What's the most pleasurable thing for you?" and, not surprisingly, sex came out top in most countries, though "delicious food" was the top-ranked response in Japan. Any quick glance at the food porn that comprises most of the content of TV shows in the nation will confirm the veracity of this, perhaps, but is it a bad sign? Or rather, just what we already knew from previous research? Sex was bested in Japan by spending time with a loved one, holding ...

When all is said and done, the human race is driven by some pretty basic urges: eat, sleep, and fuck. Everything else is ultimately just window dressing for what we have come to call civilization and society. But of the three, which is the most important for people today in our nominally sophisticated age? Specifically, which do Japanese people value the most? Japanese survey site Sirabee set out to find the answer to this question by asking 1,781 men and women in Japan, aged between their teens and sixties. Which could you not live without? Food, sleep, or sex? Almost 54% of those ...

Research regularly shows that Japanese women's breasts are getting larger. And now we have data to prove it over a 40-year period. Bra maker Triumph -- known for its rather silly concept bras -- nonetheless takes mammaries seriously, as you'd expect, and knowing the size of its customers' boobs are inevitably top of its list of priorities. It recently made public the results of a survey it did. Here are the key findings. The subjects of the survey were Japanese females between the ages of 20 through 60 years. And when the data was confirmed, Triumph found that while only 4.5% of its ...

We think we probably do more than enough damage to Brand Japan by our daily blog posts without perpetuating media myths about "sexless Japan." We see a lot of articles and coverage of this topic, which we feel is a real problem but nonetheless also exaggerated by sensational, mostly foreign reporting. Nonetheless, we like to share interesting twists on this familiar trope. Something like half of married couples are no longer having sex, the studies would have us believe. But this may start younger, since one survey apparently claimed the majority of college students are virgins. This is ...

Sagami doesn't just make incredibly thin and accomplished condoms, it also conducts research on adult tastes and sexual customs in Japan. In fact, along with Tenga, Japan's contraception manufacturers are the most reliable sources for information and data. And these can sometimes turn up surprising, even shocking, results. One recent survey conducted with 14,100 people in October and November last year across Japan's 47 prefectures nationwide found that 15.2% of women were cheating on their partner or sleeping with at least one more person. Needless to say, the result for men was ...

The state of Japanese breasts is something we here at Tokyo Kinky are frequently thinking about, whether it's scouring the latest data or observing with our roaming eye whatever we see on the streets of this fine city. A "bust map" survey by female-friendly adult brand Love Cosme of 33,813 women from prefectures across Japan has confirmed, once again and yet again, that busts are indeed getting larger. Here is what the map of average cup sizes in Japan looks like. We spotted some evaluation of the survey over on clickbait-courters Sora News 24, though their explanation of the ...

Oh, dear, another silly headline to start our day. Please indulge us once again... This time it's a survey by the Japanese Association for Sex Education, using 2017 data collected from Japanese college and university students that has been (no doubt selectively) parsed to produce a clickbaity sensational find. We first stumbled upon this in English on SoraNews24, though the original source is the Japanese news. Yes, most colleges kids are still virgins. Well, college starts at 18 (same age as the lovely Nana Asakawa, pictured above), so is it a particular shock? Let's take a ...

It's often regarded as axiomatic that adultery is common in Japan. Men have sex at their fingertips. Just take a trip to one of the countless "fuzoku" sex services available or go on a "compensated date." The ladies are catching up, though, if you believe that is the reason for the growth of Ashley Madison in Japan. One Japanese survey, at least, suggests that adultery is really not as gender-biased as you might think. In fact, slightly more women admitted to cheating on their partner in the past. The survey was conducted, somewhat bizarrely, by a hair-removal salon with coupes aged ...
