The gravure idol Tayu Anio has caused a bit of a stir by proudly posting a selfie on social media that features her armpit hair.
The 25-year-old posted the viral image at the end of March. It features not just a few strands of armpit hair, but long hair that she has even dyed to match the color of her regular hair.
It's not the first time. She has also not hidden her armpit hair in past shoots and selfies, and it seems that her decision to grow her armpit hair led her to leave her agency in 2022 and go freelance.
In 2023, she released a nude photo book (inevitably, her other very ...
The gravure idol and actress Nanaka Yano has done her first sex scene.
Yano is shown riding her lover in the adultery-themed TV drama Saretagawa no Fukushu (Revenge of the Betrayed). She rides him in the cowgirl position, though with her hands clutched to her chest to cover her breasts. His hands are also caressing her tits, which is great for him but not for the viewer. She arches her back as she rides him. The man then sits up to kiss her and hold her body close to him.
As far as we know, this is her first sex scene (and one of her first major roles).
Nanaka Yano won Best ...
Ayaka Miyoshi has got the nation's pulses racing with the preview images that show her in character for the fifth entry in the Kingdom film series.
In Kingdom: Tamashii no Kessen (aka Kingdom 5), which is released July 17 in Japan, she plays the female general Ka Rin, and Miyoshi in costume looks suitably sexy and tough. She could definitely conquer any male army!
The costume designers have certainly tried to emphasize her bust as much as possible, and leave much of the rest of her body on display. We're getting major Ursa supervillain vibes.
Created by Yasuhisa Hara, Kingdom is a manga, ...
She is now in her thirties and, despite being still one of the most famous gravure idols in Japan, it was inevitable that this day would come: Jun Amaki is to retire this summer.
Yes, it's sadly time to say sayonara to one of the cutest and bustiest of gradols in Japan.
She announced this a few days ago to accompany her appearance in the current issue of Weekly Playboy. There is also a tie-in digital photo book, appropriately called Retirement, now on release. The resulting storm of publicity Amaki's announcement has generated has helped send the book up the Kindle charts.
Amaki was at ...
Discussions are underway regarding a review of the Prostitution Prevention Law, including the possibility of penalties for those who pay for sex services. According to a report in the Asahi Shimbun on March 31, the discussions draw on data from a large-scale survey of 8,000 people revealing that approximately 48% of men living in Japan have used sex industry services at least once in their lives.
The survey was undertaken by a team including researchers from the University of Tokyo. It was conducted online in July 2022, targeting 8,000 people (4,000 men and 4,000 women) aged 20-49. Its main ...
Our friends at Kanojo Toys are celebrating Easter this year with a big sale, offering 20% off all toys in store until April 7.
To claim your discount on any purchase, use the promo code Egg.
The code is valid on all items, from the latest adult toys to classics (like the seasonally appropriate Tenga Eggs), from toys for both boys and girls (the latter will surely appreciate a rabbit vibrator from the Easter bunny).
Of course, Easter isn't really known in Japan, let alone celebrated, but spring is a major season, with the cherry blossom transforming the country and April marking the start ...
Former AKB48 superstar Atsuko Maeda has recently proved that rewarding fans who have waited nearly two decades with a semi-nude photo book in your mid-thirties, and claiming it's your best and your last, will reap commercial dividends.
On the other hand, as relative newcomer Miyuka Minami is showing, you can just go nude early in your career to make a splash.
The 20-year-old Mie native made her debut in 2021 as a junior idol but has branched out into more full-on gravure in recent years with the end of her stints in two idol groups in Nagoya. She released her first gravure photo book in ...
While Japanese porn stars are often described euphemistically in the mainstream media as "sexy actresses," major apparel brands think nothing of hiring adult video performers to front campaigns for them (though this is not without some controversy).
And so we have Minamo modeling for top lingerie brand Ravijour.
This is not a new campaign per se. The 25-year-old JAV superstar has been modeling for Ravijour since at least 2023, as we gleefully reported at the time.
Originally a gravure star who worked under the name Shizuku Taiyo, the mononymous stunner made her porn debut in 2021 and ...
It has emerged this week that Tokyo prosecutors last year indicated a male All Nippon Airways captain over an alleged sexual assault of a female colleague.
The captain in his forties is accused of groping a cabin attendant on the buttocks in October 2023. He was indicated without arrest in March 2025.
It follows an internal investigation by ANA, which claims that it took "strict disciplinary action" against the captain in question.
The penalty for indecent assault is imprisonment of six months to ten years.
While this might seem like a cut-and-dry case of an older man using his authority ...
The rather sad travails of former porn star and minor celebrity Anri Sakaguchi continue. The 34-year-old tabloid favorite has now been arrested for shoplifting.
Police nabbed her on the scene after she was caught stealing a single sandwich in Hachioji, West Tokyo, on March 17. She has since been held at Takao Police Station. She has admitted the charge, though police can hold suspects for over 20 days without formally charging or indicting them, and it is likely that she won't be released for some time, despite the minor nature of her crime (the sandwich apparently cost around ¥300).
A ...
