Evangelion parody dildos are best (unofficial) promotion for new anime movie ever

The new Evangelion movie, Evangelion: 3.0+1.0, will come out in June in Japan.

To celebrate, a Japanese adult toy brand has come up with an unofficial marketing strategy: a series of parody dildos!

The Ene Evolution dildos imitate certain aspects of the much-loved mecha anime franchise, as well as the look and even font.

First up, we have the Ene Evolution 00 Anal Dildo, a yellow and white toy modeled after Rei Ayanami’s EVA Unit-00.

Based on Evangelion EVA Unit-01, as any Neon Genesis Evangelion fan will instantly recognize, the Ene Evolution 01 Anal Dildo is, of course, purple and green.

Inspired by Evangelion EVA Unit-0, the Ene Evolution 02 Anal Dildo is red and orange.

I think we can assume that there are more than a fair few Evangelion enthusiasts working in the adult toys industry in Japan. And there are certainly a lot of anime fans among adult toy users. So is this a match made in heaven?

It is certainly a provocative parody and we wonder what the legal status on such commercial items is.

Though this Ene Evolution series comes from Tama Toys, an adult brand very well known for its parodies, it’s actually a bit unusual to see a parody dildo. Such cheeky designs are very common, of course, among onaholes and adult videos. We recently blogged about the brilliant Joker parody as a porn starring Yui Hatano. Among masturbator toy parodies, one similar one to the Evangelion dildo is the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure parody onacups.
