Disgraced model Yukina Kinoshita returns with nude photo book
She teased. The mainstream media lapped it up. She delivered. Now the publisher is looking to see the impact on the sales figures.
The former top fashion model Yukina Kinoshita has attempted her comeback with a page straight out of Angelica Michibata’s book: when in doubt, take off your clothes.
As we continue to revel in a wave of nostalgia with recent gravure comebacks by the likes of Shizuka Nakamura and Ai Shinozaki — likewise, nude or semi-nude — we were intrigued by this slightly different case, in which the model Kinoshita, after being dropped by her agency over the celebrity’s libel case, divorce, and multiple allegations of adultery, has returned to (she hopes) the limelight (or at least, plenty of media attention) with the provocatively titled photo book “CORRECT.”
Like we reported earlier in the month, the photo book is shot by Norikazu Hashimoto and Hajime Sawatari, and comes out this week from Futabasha.
As these preview images demonstrate, it’s a nude photo book, though Kinoshita doesn’t go as far as Michibata or others: we get to see plenty of naked butt and back, but no breasts or muff (so it certainly doesn’t qualify as a “hair nude” full-frontal shoot).
The days of gracing the covers of fashion magazines are over (for now). These days, Kinoshita’s “job” is making YouTube videos. The 34-year-old mother of two is probably not desperate for cash per se, given her past success that must have secured her reasonable wealth. Her current beau is a (younger) soccer player, who presumably knows how to wine and dine her well.
