Chika idol Rin Arai to make porn debut as Rin Asahi

Things don’t happen in a vacuum: even if the new porn star isn’t already famous and making a switch from gravure modeling or another career to JAV (e.g., Ruu Yumemi or Shizuku Taiyo), the chances are she was doing something beforehand.

And being an underground (chika) idol is one. These young women inhabit the groups that etch out a precarious living doing small gigs and events, attended by a modest but devoted following of fans.

The chika idol group Miramajo (みらまじょ) made a sudden decision to disband in January of this year, giving no formal reason — meaning it was probably financial. A member of the group had left in late 2020 and Miramajo had struggled gamely on as a two-member unit.

Now one of those two — Rin Arai (新井凛) — has started another career: as a porn star under the name Rin Asahi (朝日りん).

Her 170-minute debut (jufe299) is set to come out on July 1 from porn label Fitch.

Blessed with a G-cup bust, Asahi/Arai is supposedly 20 years old and the video is premised on a 30-day shoot covering her month of sex with a lover.

Netizens, though, have questioned if this is even a debut: a pale-skinned, similarly busty 19-year-old performer known only as Rin previously appeared in a release (tkmmnd197) from Miman in early May.

As often in the murky world of the porn and idol industries, things are not straightforward.
