Tina Kitsune is latest biracial model to explode onto gravure scene
Pay attention, gents. There’s a new biracial beauty in town.
Actually, Tina Kitsune has already been around for a little while, but her fandom just got a major boost. This week saw the release of her digital photo book for Weekly Playboy, Oceania Innocence.
As often is the case with such models, the powers that be are making a big deal out of her background as a haafu (mixed-race person). She is half-Japanese, half-Australian (specifically, white), and was brought up in Australia.
Kitsune built up a following online through Instagram and TikTok, becoming an influencer, digital creator, and streamer (primarily in English, as far as we know) in 2023. It hasn’t hurt her clout that she has regularly posted scantily clad pics of herself.
Magazine editors took note of the hundreds of thousands of followers she was accruing, and the result is her gravure debut in May this year with a cover shoot for Young King. She is also on the cover of the September 1 issue of Young King.
Why did she want to start working in Japan?
“I saw snow for the first time when I went to Hokkaido for an Apex Legends tournament,” Kitsune tells Weekly Playboy. “That gave me an idea, so I tried doing a photo shoot in the snow wearing a bikini. I was so excited that I didn’t really feel the cold. It was so much fun that it made me want to work in Japan more. The cherry blossoms are beautiful, and I love how organized and punctual everyone is.”
What made her decide to try gravure modeling?
“It looked like fun. I’m always posting photos on social media, so I thought it would be interesting to see them in a magazine. Plus, it didn’t seem like I’d need to use formal Japanese very much. I’m still studying formal Japanese, so I wanted a job where I could relax and just be myself.”
The latest Weekly Playboy shoot, which also appears in the regular magazine, was done by gravure veteran ND Chow.
It follows in the wake of another shoot and digital photo book for Weekly Playboy in July, aptly called Foxy Lady.
Her butt is also going to win her many, many fans.
All these shoots have meant it’s been a very busy period for Kitsune, resulting in a lot of coverage for her in the space in a few months.
Only time will tell if 24-year-old Tina has the staying power to become as famous and popular as other haafu models and celebrities in Japan like Niki Niwa, Nicole Fujita, and Anna Murashige. She’s got the looks, the body, and the chutzpah. The rest is up to the gods of gravure.

It seems she didn’t graduate? Probably got distracted by her burgeoning content creator career. Either way, her high school results gave her an ATAR of 90, which is very impressive. Brains and a body is a combo we certainly love.
