Yuka Ogura quits gravure magazine covers with nude photo shoot
After developing a gravure idol career for some time, slinky yet busty 20-year-old Yuka Ogura (小倉優香) is set to take things to the next level with a nude shoot for the latest issue of Weekly Playboy.
It’s not especially explicit, as is typical for the weekly tabloid, but Yuka shows off her pert butt by lying down flat. This is perfectly timed just as the weather in Tokyo has really heated up and everyone wants to spend their days lounging around naked.
Yuka Ogura is one of those iyashi-kei idols — “healing” idols whose gentle smiles and girl-next-door looks have universal appeal.
The photo shoot is a promo/preview for her new photo book “Jajauma” (Shueisha). After the shoot, Yuka announced that she would no longer do swimsuit shoots for weeklies and manga magazines — which some people have interpreted as a retirement from gravure altogether. She has since clarified at a launch event for the photo book over the weekend that she will no longer do cover shoots in swimsuits but won’t be turning her back on the industry that made her famous.
So hopefully this won’t actually be her final gravure shoot and we can look forward to more photos of Yuka looking her usual stunning self…
