Otaku fan of Nogizaka46’s Rina Ikoma buys 3,000 CDs
An otaku has made a shocking confession that he bought 3,000 CDs due to his obsession with Rina Ikoma, the 18-year-old idol and member of girl group Nogizaka46.
Naturally he is also a regular attendant at Nogizaka46 handshaking events.
These meet-and-greet sessions are where they can have a few seconds of bliss stroking the hand of the idols they adore.
He told Rina what he had done at a recent handshaking event.
Unfortunately he was less than impressed with her muted response to his confession, crushing his dreams of happiness with the teenaged idol.
He now claims to be considering “giving up” the otaku lifestyle.
He then lamented of his plight online, of course inviting only scorn.
The otaku’s purchase would have the monetary cost of a year’s salary, as online commentators have been quick to point out. Apparently the otaku has maxed out several credit cards in order to complete his expression of love for the Japanese music group cutie.

Rina Ikoma is the most popular member of Nogizaka46. The idol group is produced by Yasushi Akimoto, of AKB48 infamy.
In the case of AKB48, otaku buy music CDs in bulk in order to get votes to bolster their favorite girl’s popularity in the “election” contests.

She IS pretty cute. She is also lucky gun restrictions are severe in Japan, if an obsessed fan like this dude was in America, and got rejected like that, he would definitely be shooting to kill. Also the dude should have spent that amount of money on an available girl, he might actually get laid.
