Love Live! otaku “worship” anime characters
Otaku fans of the anime series Love Live! are literally worshipping their favorite 2D characters.
A certain promo at a game arcade was recently snapped showing posters of the Love Live! girls lined up along a wall with tatami matting for fans to come and pay their respects.
This meant to get down on their knees and kowtow.
Not just prostrating in reverence. At least one fan made an offering! He gave a sweet cake to his animated goddess.
Several anonymous otaku seemed to follow suit and leave multiple offerings behind for Honoka Kosaka and the other girls of Otonokizaka Academy.
We wonder who collected and ate them? It certainly wasn’t the ladies from the series.
Still, it’s not just the male otaku who do this. Female Arashi fans give head to posters of their pop star idols.
