Japanese porn star Hana Kuraki dead at 25
The popular Japanese porn star Hana Kuraki (倉木華) has reportedly passed away at the age of 25.
She was found dead in on September 12. No cause of death has been announced, though the news has immediately led to speculation that it might have been suicide.

The Kanagawa native made her debut for S1 No. 1 Style in May 2024 and continued to work as a performer for S1. Kuraki’s fame was rising overseas too, especially in Asia, where JAV is very popular. She appeared at the Taiwan Adult Expo in Kaohsiung in April this year.
She also released a nude photo book, Flower, whose title was a play on the meaning of her given name, in November 2024, plus two digital photo books last year, and two calendars.
In a recent social media post, she left a short, somewhat cryptic message complaining about possible migraines. “Recently, I have headaches every day. Why?” she wrote on X on September 5.

We have not yet seen an official announcement by S1, but nor have we seen any denial of the news, which is spreading fast on social media. We are not sure of the original source of the report of her death, but it may have been Sakito, a host club owner who posted about it on Saturday.
It is reported that she was found dead at the apartment of Kabukicho host Shota Taira, though he was not the one who found the body. There are unconfirmed rumors that Kuraki recently suffered severe facial injuries after Taira suddenly accelerated his luxury car as she attempted to get in. She posted an image of her injuries on Instagram.
Kuraki was also allegedly threatened and a financial settlement was reached with Taira’s host club group, L’s collection. We cannot verify these claims, though Taira has notably protected his tweets on X rather than issue a denial. Taira is an extraordinarily successive host, whose work has accrued enormous wealth for him and his club. Relationships between hosts and other hostesses, porn stars, or high-end sex workers are quite common, as the latter are frequently among the regular clientele at a host club.

Japanese porn stars often suffer mental health problems due to the nature of their job, the social stigma, and the abuse they face on social media. In addition, they are now under pressure to do sex work overseas (especially in East Asia) by hosts and gangsters.
Suicide in the industry is a sad fact. Japanese adult video star Nanami Yokomiya died in December 2023, aged just 21.

Rest in peace, angel.

@Thedude
Yes, this is yet another reminder, if any were needed, that hosts are really shitty people.
@Ricardo

@Thedude
she was no flower, she was a whore
@Tadashi
the shitty people are the pornstars actually
I don’t know if it means anything, she may have been hard on cash, but on this Telegram group to find cookers in Hong Kong, under the Japan and Korean section, they advertised her as being available as one of the girls to see. I saw her posted twice, both for around 3 days on separate weekends in August and September. Maybe she was truly going through a hard time and needed an extra way to make money, I got a quote for them just for curiosity sake, and they gave me a 17,000 HKD quote that converted to a bit over $2,000. Either way, RIP
Suicide what else? These people aren’t happy.
