Fumi Nikaido nude sex scenes in Tezuka’s Barbara
Despite her now-established mainstream popularity, the Japanese actress Fumi Nikaido has shown herself gamely willing to strip off for the right role.
After some previous nudity in the film River’s Edge, for example, she did sex scenes in My Man, No Longer Human, and Tezuka’s Barbara. And she does all this while fronting major advertising campaigns for brands. All too frequently, a willingness to remove your wardrobe consigns you to pink movie and B-movie quarters, so Nikaido is something of an outlier.
In River’s Edge, her nude scenes were actually pretty tame, especially compared to far more explicit sex scenes in the same movie by lesser-known actress Shiori Doi.
However, Nikaido’s nudity in the strange fantasy film Tezuka’s Barbara, which came out in Japan in late 2020, is more memorable.
In the R15-rated Tezuka’s Barbara, which also stars Tokyo Kinky favs Moemi Katayama and Shizuka Ishibashi, Okinawan-born Nikaido is shown nude and having sex with a guy (older — natch) on a sofa. They also have sex in the kitchen from behind and canoodle in the bath together. Throughout the proceedings, Nikaido sports blonde hair. Her modestly sized yet finely shaped breasts and slim waist look incredible.
Several other actresses go nude in the movie but this is not as memorable as Fumi Nikaido’s scenes.
Relatively few female actors in Japan continue to do nudity after they are established as stars. Examples of exceptions include Kumi Takiuchi and Mugi Kadowaki.
Others, though, do nudity at the start of their career and then settle down for a very dull and safe series of roles afterward. Case in point being Yuriko Yoshitaka, who opted to do one big nude role at the very beginning of a career that swiftly became largely forgettable.
