Ex-AKB48 idol Miki Nishino announces second child with 57-year-old comedian

The former AKB48 music idol Miki Nishino has announced her second pregnancy.

Nishino shocked fans by marrying the comedian Keiichi Yamamoto in 2022 when she was 23 years old. Yamamoto is 31 years older than her. She gave birth to their first child in October 2024. Their second is due in May.

Yamamoto looks particularly smug in a YouTube announcement video, though we guess you would do if you were 57 and your much-younger wife was still happy to let you impregnate her.

Further proof, if any were needed, that if you’re funny, it doesn’t matter what you look like, because you can always seduce pretty girls. Comedians get to bang hot girls in Japan (like elsewhere), from former music idols to gravure idols and even porn stars.

Keiichi Yamamoto is a controversial figure. He was fired by top management agency Yoshimoto Kogyo in 2006 for an incident in Hokkaido where he got a 17-year-old girl drunk and then sexually assaulted her. A criminal report was filed with the police but he was ultimately not charged because (as is common in these cases in Japan) he made a financial settlement with the girl and her family. However, he stopped appearing on TV and it seemed like his career was over, though he returned to Yoshimoto in 2016 and even joined its in-house music group, Yoshimotozaka46, a kind of parody of Nogizaka46 produced by AKB48 head honcho Yasushi Akimoto. Perhaps Yamamoto’s future marriage to Nishino was written in the stars.

Given his background, many found it creepy when Nishino and Yamamoto announced their marriage, not because Yamamoto is, let’s face it, no oil painting. They always seem happy together, though, and their growing family must be proof of something. Nishino has been sharing a lot of footage of their family life on her YouTube channel, and their domestic bliss seems genuine.
