Ayame Misaki turns 37, releases new photo book

Ayame Misaki is back with a new digital photo book. Shot by ND Chow, wet moon came out via Shueisha and Weekly Playboy on May 18.

Living up to its title, it features a sweaty Misaki showing off her shapely body in a bikini.

Misaki is now 37 years old and seems set to replicate the success of Kyoko Fukada and continue such gravure beach shoots into her late thirties and even forties.

Like the voice actress Yuka Iguchi, Misaki reinvented her in her thirties with an athletic look boasting muscular curves and a sun-kissed body.

Beginning in 2021, her comeback has reaped dividends for her, with strong-selling photo books (four print books since 2022) and regular appearances in gravure magazines alongside her acting roles in major Netflix and other TV series.

All those sessions at the gym have turned what are often the fallow mature years for gravure idols into her most successful, transforming her into a voluptuous jukujo with a divine butt.

It has seemingly worked for her personally as well, since she remarried in late 2024. (Incredible as it might seem that any man on the planet would let her slip through his fingers, but she married in 2016 and almost immediately divorced, just over a year later in autumn 2017.)

Misaki’s acting career began to take off in the 2010s, including a nude role in which she showed off her breasts, but her gravure career started earlier in the mid-2000s. She’s a 20-year-plus veteran of the entertainment industry.

Her new hubbie is one lucky guy.
