Announcer Minami Tanaka delights fans with semi-nude photo book

The TV announcer Minami Tanaka (田中みな実) has rewarded her legions of fans with her first photo book. Moreover, it’s not a tame one.

While the 32-year-old Tanaka stops short of actual nudity, the preview images show plenty of bust and butt. What a stunner.

Her debut photo book, as yet untitled, goes on sale from December 13th and apparently includes “suppin” shots where she is ostensibly wearing no makeup on her face. (There is something of a trend among celebrities right now to do suppin shoots and selfies.)

Tanaka was actually born in New York, though she moved to Japan almost immediately. Still, since she studied English literature, the chances are her English is pretty good.

Japan’s female TV “announcers” are almost as popular with men as gravure idols, music idols, and adult video actresses. Typically graduates of Sophia University or Aoyama Gakuin University (Tanaka’s alma mater), they are admired for their beauty, charm, and intelligence, though Japanese TV shows usually require such female presenters to defer to their male counterparts, who are treated as the “main” presenters. In other words, announcers are ideal wife material in the eyes of many men!

Our current votes go to Ayako Kato, Mariko Seyama, Yumi Furuya, and (now sadly married) Ayaka Ogawa. Sadly, these fine ladies often end up getting married to sports athletes rather than humble bloggers!
