Retiring gravure idol Jun Amaki announces marriage to keirin track cyclist Yuki Sasaki

The gravure idol Jun Amaki has announced her marriage to keirin track cyclist Yuki Sasaki.

On August 23, Jun posted a statement with a picture of her and Sasaki in which she wears a wedding dress, posing next to the groom and his bike at a track.

“I am deeply grateful to have reached this important milestone, thanks to the people I have worked with, the fans who have always supported me, and everyone else who has stood by me. I want us to be a happy couple who can still hold hands even when we’re old and gray. While supporting him from right by his side, I will continue to walk my path as Jun Amaki, never forgetting to be grateful.”

Given Jun’s age (almost 31) and the fact that she had already announced her retirement from gravure this summer (officially August 10), such news is not wholly unexpected. Nonetheless, as far as we know, she kept the relationship completely under wraps.

The pair gave an interview to Weekly Flash in which they shared that they only met last year. They first met at a dinner in Tokyo in which the other two attendees had to cancel at the last minute, meaning Jun had Sasaki all to herself that evening. One thing led to another.

We are curious what her husband-to-be, who is 31 and based in Gunma, thinks of her nude photo shoots over the years, which have kept her nipples nominally hidden (by carefully placed hands or by sheer clothing) but let fans see her shapely butt and plenty of side boob. (And given how large her breasts are, we really do mean “plenty.”)

On the other hand, since her partner gets to enjoy the full fruits of her body in ways that fans can only dream of, perhaps he has little reason to resent Jun for sharing images of herself publicly in the past. Why begrudge others having a starter when you can have the main course again and again?

Jun Amaki, who used to be a member of the idol group Kamen Joshi, has been a part of our lives since the mid-2010s and we are sad to see her go. Nonetheless, we wish her a happy married life with Sasaki. No doubt, she and hubby will be starting a family at any moment.
