More highlights from ex-AKB48 idol Atsuko Maeda’s comeback photo book, Beste

In mid-February, we shared some initial preview pics from Atsuko Maeda’s comeback photo book, Beste.

The 34-year-old single mom, who was a member of the legendary first generation of AKB48 back in the day, looks ravishing in the blue and pink lingerie in the shoot.

The most explicit shots feature Acchan nude except for thong panties, while lying on her front with her hands covering her breasts, and revealing her alluring back and side boob.

It’s all nice stuff in the idol-you-can-meet tradition of AKB48, though quite tamer compared to former SKE848 idol Ruka Kitano’s recent photo book, for instance, though Maeda was always a bit more reticent to take her clothes off.

That said, fans have discovered there’s a pic in the Beste that features Acchan apparently without a bra, with her poky nipples visible under her T-shirt.

There is also a great shot that shows off her long, slender legs while wearing white panties that seem to reveal the contours of her camel toe underneath the fabric of her snug-fitting panties.

In general, while this isn’t a nude photo book, Beste is still a great showcase of Maeda’s body, with plenty of bare back and hints of her buttocks and side boobs.

There is a lot of buzz about Maeda’s return to gravure, marking her first photo book in 14 years and supposedly her last. It’s driven partly by warmth over the highly anticipated return of someone who was so big as a music idol in the late 2000s and then moved successfully into acting in the 2010s, but also unashamed nostalgia, as fans of a certain age remember their crush from all those years past.

Marriage, childbirth, and divorce have seemingly affected Maeda little, and she looks much the same as she did back in her idol heyday (dare we say, even better?), though the style of photography is much more sophisticated than her early shoots, which complements the new maturity of her beauty.
