Yumi Kureha takes her gravure idol career to next stage with nude shoot
The gravure idol Yumi Kureha has gone nude for the first time in an attempt to vamp up her career.
She’s now 33, so she will have to hurry before she shifts into the full jukujo stage of her life.
That said, one of the unusual things about Kureha is that she didn’t get her start in gravure in her late teens or early twenties, as is most common in the industry. Her first releases (image videos, digital photo books, etc.) were in 2021, when she was already in her late twenties.
We think she made her gravure debut a little earlier, in 2019, but she was still a bit older than many of her peers.
For the October 6 issue of Weekly Playboy, she appears in a nude shoot, which is a preview for a nude photo book, Reunion, that is coming out from Takeshobo in November, along with an image video.
It’s her second print photo book, following Dangerous Beauty in 2023, and is themed around a return to her hometown of Yamagata.
Kureha is best known for her anime-like face, her slinky body, and posing with her legs spread wide open (called the letter M pose in Japanese).
The Weekly Playboy shoot is being touted as a “full nude,” though we think Kureha is just showing off her breasts. It’s not a full-frontal nude shoot. But perhaps that’s where she’s going next!

I would volunteer to lend my hand if she needed it for the obligatory te-bra photo
