Only a small handful of former idols from AKB48 or its bevy of sister groups have managed to establish themselves in gravure, acting, or general entertainment, though a fair few have also branched out into porn instead.
Whatever they do or don't do, it's hard to argue that their appeal isn't based on their looks. And if you've got it, flaunt it.
