Here's something that has got people talking (and horny) for totally obvious reasons.
In "The Bikini Game", six gravure idols wearing only (you guessed it) bikinis play a Japanese version of the game statues with a Daruma (Dharma) doll. This involves them trying to creep up on the red doll while it spins around, freezing when it turns back to glare at them.
Is it bliss or a tragedy? A secret game with sexy Japanese idols.

Japan spends 1% of its national budget on its army. Sorry, it's not an army, it's a "self-defense force." However, Japan's security treaty with America is supposed to guarantee US protection if attacked -- the ostensible reason for the tens of thousands of US soldiers based in Japan -- so the SDF is kind of pointless.
It mainly gets used for when there are earthquakes and other emergencies. Saying that, Japan spends more on its SDF than, say, the UK does on its armed forces -- even though the latter's are active around the whole world.

A 31-year-old man has been arrested for pretending to be a comedy duo's manager in early March and approaching gravure model Momoko Tani (28) in a department store.
There she tried on some clothes and he put on a show of being helpful.
"It's dangerous so I'll carry your bag for you," he told her, whereupon he then stole her bag and went off.
The comedy duo, Bananaman, is now very popular in Japan and no doubt the suspect believed that claiming to be their manager would be a ticket to all sorts of fun activities he normally could not do.
