Porn parody of Sony Music’s The First Take YouTube channel
Japanese adult video often employs referential parody formats, from recent cultural productions (anime, TV shows, etc.) to incidents (scandals, crimes, etc.).
In a culture where parody and satire is not as common as, for instance, the West, JAV frequently feels fresh and exciting in this regard, and the potentially limitless source of scenarios that can be parodied is another reason that porn is so prolific in Japan.
The most recent example of porn parody we have seen is an AV starring Rima Arai that parodies The First Take, a YouTube channel in which singers record a song in a single take like at a live performance.
The First Take has been going since 2019, produced by Sony Music Entertainment. In that time, it has released over 1,000 videos and accrued more than 10 million subscribers.
The 43-minute adult version is called, inevitably, The F1rst Sex and is actually part of a small series by the porn production label Peters.
We somehow missed the previous releases by the Rima Arai version is the eleventh. Past iterations have starred the likes of Minami Kitazawa, Sumire Mizukawa (Miri Mizuki), Nia, Natsuka, and Sara Kagami.
The first (starring Mizukawa) came out in September 2023 and the three most recent (starring Arai, Mizuki Yayoi, and Moka Haruhi) at the end of April.
The porn parodies imitate both the basic studio setup of the original YouTube videos as well as the minimal aesthetic. Only this time, instead of recording a singing performance by a couple, the mics record a session that quickly becomes far more intimate. According to the (self-referential) marketing, there’s no script — everything is ad-libbed and filmed for the first time — though we expect this is yet another joke and a nod to the “slick yet real” format of the original YouTube music videos.
