Ayumi Hamasaki denies Elon Musk is father of her child
One of the more unusual stories swirling around J-pop right now is the identify of the mystery singer with whom Elon Musk claims to have fathered a child.
Ashley St. Clair, a conservative influencer and mother of Musk’s fourteenth known child, told the New York Times that Musk has “fathered children around the world, including one with a Japanese pop star.”
Of course, this is a second-hand report and not from Musk directly, but people have taken it seriously.
Who could it be? Suspicions quickly centered on Ayumi Hamasaki, the veteran “Empress of Pop” who has two children (one born at the end of 2019 and the other born in spring 2021). Today 46 years old and making relatively few music releases, Ayu has kept the identity of the father (or fathers) of her children a secret, perhaps because her past love life has been so much tumultuous and in the spotlight.
Did 53-year-old Musk, who notoriously wants to have as many children as possible, seduce and father a child with Ayu? Is one of those two kids his?
If this sounds like an outlandish internet rumor, it’s gained enough traction for Hamasaki herself to issue an Instagram announcement clarifying that Elon Musk is not the father of either of her children. She said she wanted to address the allegation directly in case her kids found it online one day (though surely they would know the identity of their real father?).
To be fair, Hamasaki has previous here. Both her marriages have been to white men (first to Austrian model Manuel Schwarz and the second time to Tyson Bodkin), though those unions ended in divorce. And even her recent Japanese lovers have been, well, unconventional (one, Maro, went on to appear in porn).
Ayu is currently on an Asian tour. She remains popular in the region.
So if Elon’s J-pop lover wasn’t Ayu, who was it and when?!

I will also confirm that I, Thedude, have nothing to do with knocking up Ayu.
There are a couple of housewives where I will make no comment on
One of the (ex-)AKB48 idols maybe?
@anon
Yes, we wondered the same. Given how many groups and members there have been, Elon would certainly have a lot of ladies to choose from!
