50-year-old Michiko Kichise wants a boyfriend
Michiko Kichise is divorced, 50 years old, and on the lookout for a new partner.
The mother-of-two actress and model split from her husband in 2021 after 11 years of marriage. She was a big star in the late 2000s, fronting many campaigns and frequently starring in major TV dramas. Her career has taken a slight back seat to motherhood in recent years, but it seems she is ready to move on in her personal life.
She recently appeared in a talk show in which she revealed that she is “now recruiting” a boyfriend.
“I don’t know what type I am,” she confessed. “When I was younger, I used to like good-looking guys,” she said with a wry smile, “but after my mid-twenties, I didn’t know what type I was.”
You might presume that an beautiful, successful woman like Kichise would have no trouble attracting men. “People always tell that the guys will all come but they never do. So come on, guys!”
“I’m not a flypaper, but I’m waiting. I’m not a carnivorous plant, but I’m waiting,” she said. She also revealed, “Age doesn’t really matter. I’m a bit boyish, so if he wants me exactly as I appear on TV or in magazines, I might get dumped.”
Regarding dates, she explained: “Guys seem to think I have expensive tastes, but I’m fine with going to a yakitori restaurant or something. I love festivals, and standing bars are also totally OK. If it’s with someone I like, then that’s fine.”
