Yuka Kosaka makes gravure comeback in 40s
Yuka Kosaka is making a gravure comeback at the age of 40.
Kosaka is releasing her first print photo book in 17 years. until the end: Naked Wash comes out on November 19 from Futabasha. As we might expect from someone who is now a businessperson, she took charge of the concept and production of the book.
It features a nude Kosaka on the cover in a version of the classic tebura (arm/hand bra) pose. Preview images already appeared in the October 20/27 issue of Weekly Taishu.

Kosaka was briefly a biggie in gravure in the 2000s before gaining a lot of weight and retiring in 2009. She then slimmed down and attempted a comeback in 2012 with nude shoots. She was apparently brainwashed during her years in gravure.
In her thirties, she left the entertainment industry behind to run a nursery school in Chiba.

More recently, she got married to a younger, former actor and does consultancy, and also makes occasional media appearances, where she reveals the dark secrets of the gravure industry.
While until the end marks her full comeback, she also released a digital photo book a few months ago (marketed as her “final thirties” shoot), and has spent some time quietly laying the groundwork for this return.

She is also publishing a memoir, Roppongi Brainwash, in November.
Although Kosaka has spent years working with kids, she has none of her own yet with her hubby, which probably means she has plenty of time to work on her career.
