42-year-old Kyoko Fukada graces cover of Weekly Playboy ahead of comeback photo book
Some women age well. And then there’s Kyoko Fukuda.
The eternally youthful (and single) Fukada has appeared on the cover of Weekly Playboy, making her one of the oldest idols to earn the honor.
Now aged 42 (and turning 43 in November) and as comely as ever, Fukada appears on the cover of the latest issue of the magazine, which came out on June 30, wearing a figure-hugging swimsuit. She is fine company: the same issue features such gradols as Erika and Marina Momose, and various other young ladies two decades or more her junior. We’d take Fukada over them any day of the week, though.
Fukada is famous for her athletic body that she has famously shown off in water sports–themed shoots that have gone down in gravure history, and this latest cover shoot is no different. Her ageless body is svelte and tanned, seemingly as attractive as it was 20 years prior.
Fukakyon, as she is known to fans, has a new photo book out in August — her first in five years. AO comes from major publisher Shueisha (who also publish Weekly Playboy, hence the splashy promo in the current issue) and is shot by leading gravure cameraman ND Chow on location in Hawaii over five days.
It references the sporty, athletic beach body that made her famous, featuring shots of a sun-kissed Fukada surfing, playing tennis, and so on.
Mainly known as an actor, Fukada is also about to star in a new TBS drama show that begins July 1.
AO hits stores in Japan on August 6. Expect it to sell well, not least with male fans but also with women who admire Fukakyon’s ageless quality and her strength for making a comeback following her mental health issues a few years ago.
