We do love an obscure but explicit Asian movie. The one we were watching over the weekend was White River.
Released in 2023, the film is about, to quote the official synopsis, "a woman whose routine of cooking, cleaning and observing strict quarantine rules is disrupted when she becomes entangled in an erotic web with her husband and an enigmatic young waiter."
The film is made in China in Mandarin but is apparently a South Korean production. It is directed by Ma Xue, a female filmmaker.
