After drug scandal, Miho Okumoto (Erika Minatogawa) launches gravure career

Erika Minatogawa is riding the wave of scandal over her arrest on a drug charge earlier this year to launch a gravure career.

The so-called 32-year-old “Minato girl” and former race queen (grid girl), whose real name is Miho Okumoto, appears in the September 2 issue of Flash and has also released a digital photo book.

The eight-page semi-nude shoot features the alluring model with an H cup playing up to her self-professed femme fatale and party girl image.

Here are some sizzling highlights from the shoot.

Back in May, the tabloids were filled with salacious reports about the arrests of the founder of real estate investment company Raysum and two female companions on drug possession charges, and speculation over what transpired in the room of a luxury hotel in Tokyo last year.

The 60-year-old Tsuyoshi Tanaka was accused of using cocaine and methamphetamine with Okumoto, who enjoyed a following on social media as a Minato girl but was not a public figure.

Mona Konishi, a 21-year-old student at the Institute of Science Tokyo, was also detained in relation to the incident that took place last June. The Otemachi hotel party was rumbled by a boyfriend of Konishi, who burst into the room after she contacted him for help. Police were then called.

Tanaka had hired Okumoto and Konishi to provide lesbian sexual entertainment for him in their underwear while he used the drugs. The agreement was that no sex would transpire between Tanaka and the women, but Konishi later said that Tanaka had inserted a toy into her at one point, rubbed drug-laced cream on her body, and forced her to inhale marijuana.

Konishi had been recruited via a papakatsu sugar daddy scout and the final, fateful incident at the hotel was the fourth occasion on which she had participated in these hour-long sessions, for which she earned ¥200,000 each time.

Neither Okumoto nor Konishi were ultimately charged. Okumoto has described the incident as a miscarriage of justice against her that saw her real name exposed by the media.

Konishi later filed a criminal complaint against Tanaka, who received a suspended sentence and claimed he did it all because of stress.

Following her release, there was a lot of speculation about Okumoto/Minatogawa and how she might exploit her newfound notoriety (possibly even to launch a porn career). Ever savvy at self-promotion, it seems she is determined not just to recover from her brush with the law, but milk it for all the yen she can get. After all, those luxury brand goods don’t buy themselves!
