Cover released for 41-year-old Sayaka Isoyama’s upcoming photo book
The cover image for the upcoming photo book by veteran gravure idol Sayaka Isoyama has been released.
The book, Yoin (translating as “afterglow” or “resonance”), comes out from Kodansha on October 22, marking Isoyama’s 25th anniversary in the entertainment industry, and the day before she turns 42.
It was shot on location in Cairns, Australia. No doubt we shall all be soon basking in the afterglow of Sayaka’s eternal, shapely beauty, as showcased on the cover.
She already teased us with how great she looks with a 10-page cover shoot for Weekly Friday, her first such cover shoot in eight years, and which included several preview images from the upcoming book.
If you really want to show your support for Sayaka, she will be doing a launch event on October 25 at Tsutaya Books in Roppongi from noon. Expect it to be packed with guy eager to see their idol in the flesh.
Though less active in gravure these days due to her age, Sayaka remains a regular presence on Japanese TV screens. Still single, she has long been a favorite choice of ideal partner for Japanese guys, beloved for her curvy charms, girl-next-door looks, and cute airhead personality.
Her last photo book, released when she was 40, was a bestseller and no doubt Kodansha is hoping to replicate that success again. A deluxe edition is already planned for December.

Did you see all the models on YouTube site Tokyo collections? They came out after a performance by Kpop group Meow. Any of the models do gravure before?

There are dozens of models there, so we can’t name them all, but quite a few of them have done gravure or gravure-adjacent shoots. Elaiza Ikeda is one example.
