Former AKB48 music idol Nana Owada has announced her marriage. The 24-year-old gravure idol and actress told fans on June 13 that she had married a 28-year-old video editor.
The pair also made a video together to share their news with her fans.
Nana joined AKB48 in 2013 and graduated in 2017.
Following her departure from the group, she has carved out a name for herself in the competitive world of gravure. She also did occasional acting and had her own YouTube channel.
She doesn't specify in her announcement but her marriage is likely to mean the end of her gravure career.

One of Japan's current leading gravure idols, Miyu Murashima, has issued an apology after news broke that she has been having an affair with a married man.
It came to light that the 25-year-old model has been seeing married Yuma Fujii, following a report on June 12 by the tabloid Bunshun.
The 32-year-old Fujii is a professional basketball player who once played on the national team.
Of course, it takes two to tango, and the man is surely as much to blame, if not more so than Murashima.

Voice actress and singer Yuka Iguchi may now be in her mid-thirties but she looks 10 years younger. And the reason?

When DJ Soda released her first photo book in Japan earlier this year, anticipation was at fever pitch.

Rina Koike has been part of our lives (and this blog) for so long, we almost forgot she was still doing gravure!
Having made her debut two decades ago as an actress -- she appeared in a Sailor Moon adaptation way back in 2004 -- and now reaching the ripe old age of 30, Koike will release her first photo book in eight years to celebrate the milestone.
