Arrests made over nude cam girl streaming on Stripchat
In Japan, porn is everywhere but thou shalt not see genitals.
Due to the wonders of the internet and mobile devices, people in Japan enjoy instant access to hardcore pornography, just like most other places in the world today.
But unless the producers want to incur the wrath of police and courts, domestically made porn still abides by the obscenity law in Japan, whose conventional interpretation is that you cannot show actual genitalia, hence all those cocks and vaginas are blurred out.
And it’s also the case with foreign porn if you are a Japanese business selling it to Japanese customers — including amateur porn. And even if your servers or corporation is registered outside the country, you might still face prosecution for streaming uncensored Japanese content, as FC2 has found out.
The male president of a live-streaming company and three women have been arrested for allegedly streaming content where a performer stripped naked and allowed viewers to view their lower bodies.
According to media reports last week, 28-year-old TOPPA president Yuki Kitagawa and the women (aged in their twenties, thirties, and forties) who streamed are suspected of public indecency for broadcasting obscene acts, even though they did it on a overseas live streaming site, Stripchat.
The charges specifically relate to streaming between March and August 2025. The content was allegedly made in studios in Saitama and Tokyo. (The images in this article are not examples of this content.)
Stripchat is site operated by a company in Cyprus, and supposedly has a billion viewers per month. Kitagawa operated Femee, a Minato-based Stripchat agency in Tokyo that opens and operates accounts on behalf of streamers.
Kitagawa apparently recruited streamers by offering them up to 85% of the income from viewers as well as management support. His agency has around 100 cam girls under its management, according to investigators.
The arrested female streamers initially streamed for free while fully clothed, but then stripped naked and exposed their lower bodies when viewers paid.
Femee had a savvy internal structure that rewarded excellence and performance. As streamers became more popular, they would become managers, and in return for teaching other streamers how to get more viewers, would receive 5% of their fees.
One of the arrested streamers is believed to have earned around ¥30 million in about a year and a half. Kitagawa is alleged to have earned over ¥100 million in the same period. They’re going to need that money for their legal fees.
The Femee/TOPPA case is supposed to be the first such arrests in Japan for public indecency in connection with the live streaming site Stripchat.
