21-year-old female golfer Reika Miyako apologizes for dating older married coach
Last week, it was revealed that attractive 21-year-old female golfer Reika Miyako was dating a man 30 years her senior.
That nugget of info was enough to merit a flood of articles in the tabloids, but more details have since emerged about the 51-year-old lucky gent who is her boyfriend. It’s none other than her married coach, Shinobu Ishii.
She has since apologized on December 1 with a handwritten letter posted on social media that confirmed that she was breaking up with Ishii and ending their professional relationship.
“I have been dating my coach, Shinobu Ishii, since last year. However, I cannot bring myself to disappoint my parents, who are the most important people to me, over this incident, so I have decided to end our relationship and my coaching contract. I am extremely grateful to Coach Ishii for guiding me through passing my professional test to become a seeded player. From now on, I will approach golf with sincerity and work hard to grow into an excellent professional golfer and person,” Miyako wrote.
Ishii responded on social media: “The contents of the report in Weekly Bunshun are largely true. At the time, I had been separated for about three years and my marriage had effectively broken down. We have now spoken to each other and have officially put an end to the relationship. However, having faced what happened this time and accepted my actions and responsibility, I have decided to end all ties with Miyako, as this is how I will move forward. Going forward, I will sincerely reflect on myself as a coach and as a person, learn from my mistakes, and grow into someone who can regain trust.”
Miyako is still a newbie to the world of professional golf, having made her debut only this year, but has already accrued a massive fandom, with tens of thousands of followers on Instagram.
Whatever happens with her performance on the green, she knows she has future career options with modeling and sponsorship deals. She could also follow in the path of gorgeous Minase Ozawa and do a nude photo book.
