Saito, who is half-Myanmarese and half-Japanese, was a first-generation member of Nogizaka46. The 24-year-old graduated the idol group earlier this month.

A minor scandal has emerged involving top Nogizaka46 member Yuki Yoda, after the tabloid magazine Weekly Bunshun caught her going to a luxury gym in Ebisu, Tokyo, in which she was allegedly in a room alone with a male trainer for several hours.

The 27-year-old was a member of Nogizaka46 from 2011 to 2018, but now focuses on acting.

In the latest high-profile infections among celebrities in Japan, Nogizaka46 has announced that two of its members, Kaede Sato and Yuki (or Yuuki) Yoda, have contracted the novel coronavirus.
After a PCR test on August 27 for all the members of the idol group, the 22-year-old and 20-year-old were confirmed to have the virus, though not any symptoms of COVID-19 as of writing.
