The actress Miki Nakatani has been spotted out on a date in Nishi-Azabu with a foreign man. The picture is now making the rounds of gossip and tabloid sites.
Nakatani, who is apparently fluent in English (and speaks some French and Italian, to boot), is unmarried and regarded as one of the most desirable women of her generation.
She was snapped walking with her arm around the body of an unknown gaijin, talking together in English, before they retired to her luxury condo in the area for the night.
The man is reported to be Thilo Fechner, a 48-year-old viola player with the Vienna Philharmonic. He and Nakatani have been dating for around a month.
Nishi-Azabu is known for its rich demographic, including many foreigners. Nakatani previously dated the actor Atsuro Watabe for 15 years, but they broke up last year.
