When threesomes go wrong: death in a love hotel

Last week two girls were arrested in Shinjuku’s notorious Kabukicho sex district for credit card theft. The pair of femme fatales stole the card from the dead body of a man they had been cavorting with in a threesome.

Naturally these ladies are suspected of being ladies of the night, not least because they are Chinese! The dead gentleman was a 46 year-old who had been picked up on the street by the 46 and 35 year-old ladies, and together made their way to a nearby love hotel.

However, somehow he ended up dead and they took his credit card, withdrawing over five hundred dollars in cash. You can run but you can’t hide — the next day the body was discovered in the room by hotel staff.

Apparently the man had drunk very heavily and this probably led to his fate. However, it just goes to show how dangerous a few drinks and a night out in Kabukicho can be!

End of sex era as Ueno pink movie theater closes

Famous pink movie theater Ueno Okura Gekijou is to shut its doors in August, bringing to an end fifty-nine years of sex history. A new unrestricted cinema will be built in front of the old building…

Okura first appeared in north-east Tokyo in 1951 and started showing pink movies from 1962. Despite its age it still attracts many old fans to its weekly three-movie schedules, with some 2000 visitors per week.

However, since the last decades saw the rise of video and then DVD, the pink movie theaters, once a staple of Japan’s sex industry. There were some 300 theaters at its peak but now there are said to be just 70-80.

Still, foreign visitors are often amused by how central these are. For example, in the very heart of Kyoto’s shopping district there is a sex cinema and also in Namba, Osaka. However, they are more often than not in the poorer areas of town, such as Ueno or in Osaka’s Nishinari district (also home to lots of old-style, very very open brothels).

Of course, part of the appeal of the places was that you could go there and get away from your family. Small Tokyo apartments don’t allow you much space to look at porn in private. However, the video booths and internet cafes soon filled that need — and the porno cinemas have been struggling ever since.

Okura’s fans kept it open for this long but times are changing. Now the owners want to improve its whole image and capture new customers. Cleaner, smarter and safer, the new building will have wheelchair access and headphones for the hard-of-hearing. It will also expand to three screens and be able to seat 250 patrons.

More interestingly for me, the new cinema is really trying to be “modern”: they are going to have ladies’ day offers to encourage females to enjoy porn. Well, I don’t need any encouragement!

Mosatsu rip photo iPhone app

Apparently those prudes at Apple and iTunes don’t like hot Japanese idols!

They have banned the Mosatsu iPhone app from the store, depriving potentially thousands of guys from “ripping” the clothes off their favorite models.

Mosatsu (妄撮, “fantasy photo”) is based on a popular series of photo books where you see the idol in clothes, and then you can “rip” the photo to show some of her wardrobe seemingly torn from her body…revealing what’s underneath.

Hell, this would make my commute MUCH more interesting!

English teacher arrested (again) for molesting school girls

Don’t you just love north Japan? There must be something in the snow…

A teacher in Akita (that’s a prefecture way up at the tip of Honshu) was re-arrested on June 17th for child prostitution and possession of pornography!

Junchiro Konishi (36) is an English teacher at a middle school in Akita City. Apparently in March last year he paid cash to two (then aged) 14 year-old school girls and molested them in a hotel in Akita. Of course, this being the modern age he also took footage of this with a digital camera (good way to provide the police with evidence, duh).

How much did this venture cost him. He has testified that “I gave each girl 12,000 yen”. So, about $120? Sound like good value for a school girl?

Kind of amazingly, Konishi was arrested in May for a separate incident with a school gir last February. Sounds like he did a good job covering his tracks for so long!

This follows the arrest in Tokyo of a 47-year old high school teacher who told a third year high school student that he wanted to take pictures of her in a swimming costume. He paid her 20,000 yen (about $220) and did rather more than just take photos, it seems.

However, Hirotoshi Kenji “recruited” his model through an internet bulletin board and she was keen to do the shoot. Apparently she wasn’t clear on the implications!

To be honest, guys, rather than taking the risk of running foul of the law, whenever I get these school girl urges I just look at pictures of Ryo Shihono.

IWC Members Bribed With Prostitutes
